Day by Day itinerary

Day 1 to 2 – Hemingways Nairobi

You will be welcomed into Hemingways Nairobi by a grand entranceway and staircase, and a warm welcome. Hemingways Nairobi is an elegant boutique hotel in the Karen residential area of Nairobi, with lovely gardens and overlooking the Ngong Hills. Spend 1 night on a bed and breakfast basis in a deluxe room.

While at Hemingways Nairobi, taking in the sights of a Nairobi City Tour and see the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and feed the giraffes at the Giraffe Centre.

Day 2 to 5 – Ol Donyo Lodge, Chyulu Hills

You will be transferred to Nairobi Wilson Airport for your charter flight to the Chyulu Hills near Amboseli National Park. Your guide will be there to meet you and transfer you into camp for 3 nights. Ol Donyo Lodge has 7 spacious suites on the slopes of Chyulu Hills with views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Activities include day and night game drives, between day and night game drives, walking, village visits, exploring lava tunnels, horse riding, mountain-biking, sleeping under the stars on your roof-top bed, watching big tusker elephants drink from the waterholes below the lodge, or just relaxing in your pool suite.

Day 5 to 8 – Mara Plains Camp, Olare Motorogi Conservancy Masai Mara

From Amboseli, fly to the Masai Mara for 3 nights. Located in the game-rich Masai Mara in the private Olare Motorogi Conservancy is the opulent Mara Plains Camp. With a nod to the bygone era of great explorers, Mara Plains has 7 sprawling tents, private decks and beautiful copper soaker tubs. Each tent includes a Canon DSLR camera and a pair of Swarovski binoculars for guests to use while on safari.

The Olare Motorogi Conservancy has the lowest vehicle density, plus you have the added benefit of taking a day drive into the Masai Mara National Reserve. Daily game drives exploring the Masai Mara are the main activity, with optional hot air balloon rides, horseback riding and community visits. From July to October, you should see the vast herds of wildebeest as they gather strength to start their trek south.

Day 8 to 11 – Mara Nyika Camp, Naboisho Conservancy Masai Mara

Your last 3 nights at the perfectly positioned Mara Nyika Camp in the game-rich Naibosho Camp. The plains of the conservancy are full of wildebeests during the migration. The Naboisho Conservancy borders the Masai Mara National Reserve and offers incredible game viewing all year round.

The camp is nestled under a canopy of umbrella thorn trees and overlooks the surrounding plains. Spacious canvas tents are connected by raised walkways while retaining privacy. On your last morning, you will fly back to Nairobi Wilson airport for your onward travel.
