Day by Day itinerary

Days 01 to 04 – Arathusa Safari Lodge, Sabi Sand

You will fly from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit Airport and from there be driven to the Northern Sabi Sand. Spend 3 nights at the lovely Arathusa Safari Lodge, ideally located in prime game-viewing country, overlooking a large waterhole. This dam has resident hippos and attracts a steady stream of wildlife to drink. Explore the very prolific Sabi Sand on open-game drive vehicles on morning and evening game drives with an experienced guide and tracker teams. The main areas overlook the waterhole and have a pool and numerous sitting areas. 

Arathusa has luxury safari rooms, some overlook the waterhole while a few overlook the bush. These bush suites have private plunge pools and are ideal for those looking for some privacy or romance. The waterhole suites overlook the dam and have a private verandah. All rooms are spacious, have unique decor, a full ensuite bathroom, as well as an outside shower and all the units have air conditioning. 

Days 04 to 07 – Kambaku River Sands, Timbavati

After your morning game drive and breakfast, you will be collected and transferred to the Timbavati Private Game Reserve. Spend 3 nights at the tranquil Kambaku River Sands in the heart of the Timbavati. Owner-run, Kambaku River Sands is located along the banks of a dry river bed and boasts an active waterhole. Enjoy morning and evening game drives, walks and more with passionate guides and trackers. Expect tasty treats and excellent hosting while at Kambaku. The main areas have a large pool, gym and plenty of private spaces to relax in. The pool has been known to attract elephants to drink. Enjoy meals al fresco on the deck or in the boma.

Each suite is under thatch, spacious and has a full ensuite bathroom. Large windows and a deck ensure you are never far from the surrounding bush. It is not uncommon to see the antelope and the odd elephant stroll past. 

After your morning activity, you will be transferred to Hoedspruit Airport for your scheduled flight to Johannesburg.
